Built for everyone
CalcPro is committed to making financial calculators accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This is our ongoing effort and commitment.

Accessibility is not a feature — it's a foundation
Financial tools should be usable by everyone. Whether you navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, need high contrast, or prefer reduced motion — CalcPro is designed to work for you.
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as our accessibility standard. This is an ongoing process — we test, improve, and iterate with every release.
Accessibility features we've built
Every feature is designed and tested with accessibility in mind.
Semantic HTML
Every page uses proper HTML5 semantic elements — header, nav, main, article, section, footer — so screen readers can navigate logically.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements (calculators, forms, filters, buttons) are fully operable with keyboard alone. Tab order follows visual order.
ARIA Labels
Interactive elements that need context have descriptive aria-labels and aria-describedby attributes for assistive technology.
Reduced Motion
We respect prefers-reduced-motion. All animations and transitions are disabled when the user has this setting enabled.
High Contrast
Dark and light themes both meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). Focus indicators are clearly visible.
Clear Focus Indicators
All focusable elements show a 2px solid outline with 2px offset. Focus is never removed with outline:none without a replacement.
Where we stand
Level A
All critical content is perceivable and operable. No known Level A violations.
Level AA
Color contrast meets 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
Level AAA
We strive for AAA where practical. Some complex interactive calculators may not fully meet AAA.
Areas we're actively improving
Transparency matters. Here's what we know needs work and what we're doing about it.
Complex calculator charts
In ProgressInteractive charts have text alternatives, but some tooltip interactions may be difficult for screen reader users. We are working on ARIA live regions for chart data.
Mega menu navigation
In ProgressThe categories dropdown menu is keyboard accessible but could be improved with arrow key navigation. This is on our roadmap.
Dynamic result updates
In ProgressCalculator results update in real-time as you type. Screen reader users may not hear these updates. We are adding aria-live regions to announce results.
Our accessibility testing process
axe DevTools
Automated accessibility testing on every page during development
NVDA + VoiceOver
Manual screen reader testing on Windows and macOS
Keyboard-only
Full keyboard navigation testing without mouse input
Lighthouse
Google Lighthouse accessibility audit on all key pages
